LACES WorkingPrinciples Project
We have designed the Working Principles Project to provide support and assistance to schools undertaking work that addresses at least one of the Focus Areas and aligns with one or more of the CES Common Principles. These schools are not at the stage in their change work where they are considering becoming a CES member school. Typically, this Project works through school improvement initiatives such as LAUSD's LEARN, California's II/USP (Immediate Intervention/Under-performing Schools Program) or SI (School Improvement), or federal programs like CSR (Comprehensive School Reform) or SLC (Small Learning Communities).
Through direct coaching, development of school working groups (CFGs, etc.), and networks of other educators addressing similar concerns, the WorkingPrinciples Project helps school communities build the capacity to sustain continuous improvement and renewal.
